About Lancaster Court Watch
Lancaster Court Watch is an investigative project of The Equalyzer, a civic journalism platform dedicated to following power, exposing failures in public institutions, and giving voice to the people those institutions are supposed to serve.
This project exists because Lancaster County Family Court has a documented pattern of ignoring Pennsylvania's Kayden's Law — placing children in unsafe custody arrangements, dismissing clinical evidence of abuse, and using procedural delay to financially exhaust the families least able to fight back.
We are not attorneys. We do not provide legal advice. What we do is collect, document, and publish patterns — because sunlight is the only accountability these families have ever been offered.
If you are a family navigating this system, your story is safe here. Submissions are confidential, stored on infrastructure we own and control, and never shared with courts, attorneys, or opposing parties. Your information appears publicly only as part of an anonymized pattern — never identified, never exposed.
If you are a gatekeeper organization, a clinician, or a legislator who has seen this pattern firsthand — we want to hear from you too.
